The City of New Prague is wondering if any cities have specific material or appearance standards for residential roofs (such as restrictions on using corrugated metal on a residential home). Thanks,

The City of Princeton is looking at this specific topic right now. The PC tossed around the idea of putting a specific list of approved building materials in the Ordinance, but instead has decided to go with the following language: All residential siding and roofing shall consist of building materials in common use, but may also include building materials which the Planning Commission finds to be similar in form, function, and aesthetics to building materials in common use. (This was suggested by our City Attorney).
