CM Credits
AICP's Certification Maintenance program helps planners gain the knowledge and
skills they need to
remain current in the practice of planning.
Certification Maintenance strengthens the value of certification, demonstrating your ongoing commitment to excellence
to elected officials, community leaders, and employers.
More information on CM Credits and How to Earn CM Credits can be found on the APA's
www.planning.org website..
CM grace period
The first two-year CM reporting period ends December 31, 2009. However, AICP will grant members who have not completed all requirements a four-month grace period — through April 30, 2010 — to attend and record CM-eligible activities. The grace period is automatic — nothing to fill out. Also, members will not lose their AICP designation during this time. Not completing the CM requirements by the end of the grace period will cause your AICP credential to lapse retroactively as of January 1, 2010, and will require reinstatement for continued use.
