State of Minnesota
- The State of Minnesota Index site is North Star. This site provides links to
the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the state government and also to state agencies.
- Minnesota State Legislature. This is the web site for the legislature.
This will lead you to information concerning the House, Senate and Minnesota government in general. This is a valuable resource
during the legislative session.
- State Statutes are available on line at

- Minnesota Planning, the state's planning and research agency, has a
web site at www.mnplan.state.mn.us -- where the public can find
information and data instantly about such issues as government spending, crime and justice, Minnesota children, state

The
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is
the national professional organization for landscape
architects. With more than 18,000 members, ASLA actively
promotes the landscape architecture profession and advances
the practice through advocacy, education, communication, and
fellowship. The Minnesota chapter of the American Society
of Landscape Architects (MASLA) is the local chapter of ASLA
serving to carry out the society's mission on a local level
through our membership of 300. We are growing in numbers
and in programs, and are currently planning and offering a
variety of service projects, social events, networking
opportunities, and continuing education opportunities.

Minnesota Green Communities
Minnesota Green Communities is an initiative designed to foster the creation of affordable, healthier, and more energy-efficient homes
throughout Minnesota. Through pilot funding of Minnesota Green Communities by the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, the Family Housing
Fund, and Enterprise, four demonstration projects will be built in Minnesota (2005-2007) totaling 180 homes, including rental,

CURA
The Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) is an applied research and technology center at the University of Minnesota that
connects faculty and students with nonprofit groups, public agencies, and others working on urban issues in Minnesota. The website

Urban and Regional Studies Institute (URSI), Minnesota State University Mankato
The URSI program offers a two year graduate degree in urban planning (MAUP) and a 4 course Graduate Certificate in Urban Planning
with courses available in the Twin Cities area. In addition, URSI provides interns for planning departments around the state and
serves planners and community organizations with planning assistance through its studio courses. For further information contact

The Planning Commissioners Journal
The Planning Commissioners Journal site had changed it's name to Planners Web The major focus for the Planners Web is
the development of an "On-Line Planning Encyclopedia" or "OPE" for short. They have also developed a resource guide on sprawl.
